Evaluating Coral Impact
Monitoring Our Impact
We rely on a detailed analysis of the sustainability of the planted corals and their impact on the surrounding ecosystem by studying the survival rates of the planted corals, as well as assessing changes in the biological and functional composition of the marine ecosystem.
Fostering Scientific Partnerships
Research Collaboration
Our scientific program focuses on fostering research collaboration with a wide range of scientists, helping to answer the critical questions that guide our work. Coral nurseries, coral reefs, and restoration sites provide valuable resources that support scientific research on coral conservation and the impacts of restoration efforts on the marine ecosystem.
Ensuring Coral Genetic Diversity
Genetic Diversity
We place significant emphasis on avoiding the repetition of genetic information for corals passing through our nurseries. Through this approach, we refrain from collecting detailed genetic data on each coral, which reduces genetic diversity. This limits the corals’ ability to adapt to future environmental changes and reduces their chances of long-term survival.
Advancing Coral Cultivation Technologies
Continuous Innovation
We are dedicated to developing advanced research techniques aimed at preserving coral reefs. By utilizing the latest scientific methods and technologies, we work on improving coral restoration practices, enhancing their ability to adapt and thrive in their natural environments. Our goal is to find sustainable solutions that contribute to the long-term protection of these vital ecosystems.
